RADFORD, Va. (BP)--Lisa Graham scored on a header with 3:49 remaining in the first half to pace the Highlanders (5-10-2) to a 2-1 victory over Big South rival Liberty Flames (9-6) in women's soccer action Wednesday evening at the Dedmon Center Stadium.

Scoring began when Liberty's Sarah Gantner snatched the ball from a Radford attempt to clear and blasted it past RU goalkeeper Samantha Woods in the 14th minute. RU responded as Kelly Bertwell scored off of a penalty kick tying the game at 1-1 with 7:01 left until halftime.

The Flames outshot RU 11-8. Liberty goalie Amy Moxley recorded the only save of the game.

The Highlanders will now host the Big South women's soccer tournament beginning next Thursday, Oct. 26.
