BUIES CREEK, N.C. (BP)--High Point defeated Campbell 3-0 (30-20, 30-20, 30-21) Nov. 8 in non-conference volleyball action in Buies Creek, N.C., behind a pair of 13-kill performances from Michelle Feiser and Jamie Kaufman; Rachel Templin led the Camels with seven kills and a .389 attack percentage.

The Panthers (16-15, 5-8 Big South) controlled the match, more than doubling the Camels (8-22, 1-8 A-Sun) kill output, 51-25, and recorded 14 more digs, 38-24, than Campbell.

Campbell held all three games close throughout the first third of each game before High Point went on a big run to open up an insurmountable lead. In the opening game, the Panthers broke open an 11-7 game with a 15-9 run to hold a 10-point advantage. The second game was a 16-12 contest before a 9-5 run made it a 25-17 game, and then in the third game after the Camels rallied with a 7-1 run to tie the score at 18-18 the Panthers closed the game on a 12-3 streak.

Holli Cadenhead and Femi Alabi had six and five kills, respectively, to join Templin as the Camels’ leading offensive players for the match. Templin didn’t commit any errors on her 18 attack attempts for her .389 hitting percentage; she also boosted her conference leading block total with four on the match.

Kaufman led all players with 13 digs and five service aces but also committed six service errors. Crystal Hoffman led Campbell with eight digs and two service aces. The Panthers had equal distribution from their setters with Fieser leading the way with 17 and Lauren Hatch posted 13; Jessica Gleba led all players with 19 for Campbell.
