OBU soccer rolls past Union

JACKSON, Tenn. (BP)--Eduardo Acedo scored two goals to lead Oklahoma Baptist to a 5-1 victory over Union University Sept. 13.

Elcio Freitas added a goal and an assist for OBU.

The Bison were on the board quickly with Acedo converting a penalty kick in the first minute. Freitas added a goal in the 16th minute for a 2-0 lead.

Union scored on a Darlan Rocha goal in the 37th minute to make it a 2-1 game at halftime.

Another quick goal started the second half with Acedo putting one in the net just 64 seconds in for a 3-1 lead.

Freitas assisted on a Jame Gilreath goal just 12 minutes later for a 4-1 lead.

Craig Stead would put things out of reach in the 86th minute with a goal for a 5-1 lead.

Jacob Hibbard and Kyle Kleeberg combined for the win in goal with Hibbard collecting five saves to Kleeberg's four.
