Union's Lady Bulldogs win sixth straight

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (BP)--The top-ranked Union University Lady Bulldogs pushed their winning streak to six games with a 76-57 win over Brenau University Dec. 29 in the final day of the Daytona Beach Shootout.

Union improved to 13-1 on the season, while Brenau dropped to 7-4 overall.

Union extended its 11-point halftime lead to as many as 24 points in the second half, 70-46 with 4:28 left in the game.

Union’s Kaitlin Dudley, scored 11 of her game-high 18 points in the first 10 minutes of the second half to spark the Lady Bulldogs.

Three other Union players followed Dudley’s 18 points. Sara Chan added 16 points, including 14 in the first half. Ashley Lillard and Christina Ray each scored 10 points. Union shot 47 percent from the field, 17 percent (5-30) from three-point range and 50 percent (5-10) from the free throw line.
