LOUISVILLE, Ky. (BP)--Campbellsville University's Whitney Ballinger is the Mid-South Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, conference officials announced Jan. 3.

The weekly conference award is Ballinger's first this season and the 12th of her career.

Ballinger averaged a double-double last week while helping the No. 3-ranked Tigers win a pair of games at the Columbia (Mo.) College Lady Cougars vs. Cancer Classic. The Carrolton, Ky., senior forward earned most valuable player honors at the weekend classic.

Ballinger began her week with 18 points and 11 rebounds in the Tigers' 67-59 win over No. 13-ranked William Woods (Mo.) University. She added five assists, five steals and four blocks in the win. Ballinger concluded the week with 20 points and 12 rebounds in Campbellsville's 70-59 win over host Columbia.
