SHAWNEE, Okla. (BP)--Oklahoma Baptist University head volleyball coach Anna Howle has been recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association with a "30 Under 30" award.

The award, created by AVCA to honor up-and-coming volleyball coaches under 30 years old at all levels of coaching, will be announced in the April/May issue of Coaching Volleyball magazine.

"The accomplishments and philosophies of this group of award winners give the AVCA confidence about the future of our game," said Kathy DeBoer, executive director of the AVCA. "These 30 stars are diverse, hard-working and passionate about teaching. Anna has demonstrated dedication to not only her sport, but also her own professional development by aligning herself as a member in her coaching association."

Howle has in three season accumulated a record of 81-36 and won a Sooner Athletic Conference championship.
