Saints invite Campbellsville's Warrenhuffman to minicamp

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (BP)--Former Campbellsville University wide receiver Stan Warrenhuffman has been invited to attend the New Orleans Saints' rookie minicamp May 11-13 in New Orleans.

Warrenhuffman, who was named the 2011 Mid-South Conference East Division Offensive Player of the Year, will report to Louisiana May 10 for his first multi-day workout with an NFL team.

"I'm blessed, and very thankful for God the Father granting me this opportunity, but I'm not content or satisfied. I'm not done yet," Warrenhuffman said.

The 6-foot-4 senior from Cincinnati, Ohio, worked out many times for NFL scouts through the 2011 season and recently attended a pre-draft workout in Cincinnati with the Bengals.

"Stan has worked out for a few other teams this spring either here on campus or at the teams site, but this is the first time he's been in a multiple day session mini-camp situation," said Campbellsville head coach Perry Thomas. "It will be a great opportunity for him to showcase his abilities."

Playing in 37 career games, Warrenhuffman saw the Tigers turn around a program that was 0-10 in 2007 to post three consecutive seven-win seasons in 2009, 2010 and 2011 for the first time since the early 1990s. He set the Tigers' career records for most receiving yards (2,390), most touchdown receptions (19), most receiving yards per game (64.6) and most catches per game (4.05). He finished four catches shy of breaking the Tigers' all-time receptions record.
