AIA seeking prayer partners for Olympic athletes
Friday, Jul 20, 2012
By Staff

XENIA, Ohio (BP)--Athletes in Action, a Christian sports ministry, is enlisting 3,000 people to serve as Olympic prayer partners for the 2012 London Olympics.

Each person who volunteers will be assigned the names of three-to-five Olympic athletes to pray for during the Olympics, which begin July 27. The athletes’ sports and countries will also be provided.

AIA is asking the volunteers to pray for God’s blessing for each athlete, for their protection and safety and for God’s dominion over their spiritual lives as they encounter various chaplains and ministry personnel who will be present at the Games.

To volunteer as a prayer partner, or for more information, visit olympics.athletesinaction.org/prayer-strategy/.
