SHAWNEE, Okl. (BP)--Oklahoma Baptist University forced Rhema Bible College (Okla.) into 38 turnovers en route to a 103-66 win, snapping a two-game losing streak Tuesday night.

"I thought tonight was a continuation of the how hard we played last game," said Bison coach Doug Tolin. "We came out and worked hard. It didn't matter to us what it said on the front of their shirt."

The win comes after a hard-fought, 91-89 loss to top-ranked Life University last Saturday.

The Bison (8-2) had 26 steals and got all 14 available players into the contest.

OBU trailed 4-0 before Brent Ansel broke the Bison goose egg with a basket at the 18:27 mark of the first half to spark a 10-0 run for the home team. After that initial spark by the Eagles, Rhema Bible (2-8) scored consecutive baskets only once for the rest of the half and once more in the second half.

Dujuan Brown and Nate Boylan each had 13 points by halftime and both broke 20 for the night. Brown finished with a game-high 27 points, followed by Boylan with 21, Cory Kebert with 12 and Travis Burkhalter and Jared Johnson with 10 apiece.

Things nearly got as out of control on the floor as on the scoreboard in the second half, as two players were removed from the game. Rhema's 6-11 giant Paul Brandt went to the floor in attempt to get a charging call and became tangled up with Boylan. The two tussled for a moment, with Boylan getting kicked in the chest. After Brandt got to his feet, OBU point guard Patrick Sallee shoved Brandt. Sallee was ejected and Brandt was sent to the locker room by the Rhema coaching staff.

After cooler heads prevailed, the Bison jumped back into high gear, running off a 16-1 scoring spree to take an 88-46 lead with 9:21 left in the game. Peter Conway led the run with five points, while Johnson and Brown added four each and Boylan added three.

Ryan Honey scored with 6:54 to play to give OBU its largest lead, 93-48. Kebert scored with 3:29 to play to give OBU its third 100-point game of the season.

OBU out-rebounded Rhema 43-28 and connected on 22 of 28 free throw attempts for 78.6 percent. The Bison shot 50.7 percent (37-73) from the field.

Next action for the OBU men is Friday and Saturday in the Ramada Inn Classic. St. Gregory's University plays National Christian University (Texas) at 6 p.m., followed by the Bison and Messenger College (Mo.) at 8 p.m.

Saturday's schedule has been changed from an evening start to an afternoon start to accommodate OBU's Hanging of the Green tradition. SGU and Messenger will play at 2 p.m. and the Bison will play National Christian University at 4 p.m.
