Southern Baptist recreation ministry finds home at OBU
Bill Buchanan of Oklahoma Baptist University serves as the director of the National Sports and Recreation Ministry Center there.
SHAWNEE, Okla. (BP)--When LifeWay Christian Resources went through a restructuring and reorganization four years ago, the church recreation/sports ministry department was one of the casualties.
      Though the central office for Southern Baptist recreation ministry may have been disappearing, Bill Buchanan of Oklahoma Baptist University wasn’t satisfied with letting the movement go away as well. OBU established the National Sports and Recreation Ministry Center under Buchanan’s leadership to carry on the recreation ministry previously organized by LifeWay. Read More...
